Going South to Goodwood with VPAC

Going South to Goodwood with VPAC turned out to be a spectacular way to spend a day. Joining them on this gorgeous day reflected the attitude shared by our Clubs – to foster relationships with other clubs, participate in each other events, exchange experiences, show off our toys, and most significantly: socialise. We have so much in common!

Goodwood is a fantastic airfield. ATC have done an amazing job coping with dozens of airplanes seemingly trying to join the circuit at the same time. I believe VPAC achieved the highest number of participants ever: over 60 (though some came by car). I don’t have the final attendee numbers, but the crowds and the atmosphere reminded me of the LAA Rally… And as for the weather gods – came up trumps!

Richard Keech, VPAC’s chairman, reiterated an open invitation to all BPBC members for all their events, not just the ones we have already publicised. In fact, their next event is planned for 11th June – “Western meet at Welshpool”. Conversely, I have echoed the sentiment of VPAC joining us at thee BPBC meetings…
