Pup 150 – projects from NSW, Australia

Back to News

Earlier this year, we have received a message about two Pups 150s and two engines for sale, as a project. The message was from Greg Dawson, based in New South Wales, Australia. In short, it appears one of the Pups is suitable for restoration the other to be used as a ‘donor’, selflessly offering spares and missing parts. Greg’s original message, including attachments, has been circulated by email to all members, but so far raised no queries or responses. Just like the current owners, we would love the restoration to happen, to safeguard the best outcome for the two aircraft and spare parts they can provide. Ideally, of course – if at all possible – we would like to see at least one of them to take into the skies again. That’s where Pups belong! This is why we are the offering a wider publicity!

Here is what Greg said:
“It is with much regret that after 8 years, the syndicate has decided that we are all getting too old and too busy to finish the restoration of one Beagle Pup, from two airframes and engines.
Located in Wedderburn NSW are two Beagle Pup Series 2 aircraft, full details as per attached aircraft sheets.
In summary we are offering AS ONE JOB LOT (we do not want to sell them separately):
– one complete Beagle Pup series 2, disassembled; it comes with engine, propeller, airframe, interior, avionics, wings, tail assembly. NB, the engine is out of calendar time but not engine time and will need bulk strip
– one not-so-complete Beagle Pup Series 2; this one comes with mostly bare interior, fuselage, wings, tail assembly and engine – a perfect source of parts for the restoration. NB, the engine is also out of calendar time, but not engine time, and will also require a bulk strip.

Best offer Australian dollars, as is, at Wedderburn NSW Australia.
Please note however, we do have experience in shipping would be happy to negotiate a price to pack into a 40ft container. On an ex works basis. FOB costs, Freight and insurance would be buyers care.

Both aircraft come with airframe and engine log books along with the following aircraft publications;
• One Parts catalogue
• Two Service Manuals
• One B121 Series 2 Owners handbook
• One Approved Flight Manual
• One set of Airworthy directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB)

Please note, the veracity and completeness of the above aircraft publications is for the buyer’s discretion.
