Sywell fly-in with museum tour

To increase the day’s attraction, we have arranged to have a group tour of the newly re-opened Sywell Aviation Museum (SAM), celebrating this year its 25th anniversary. The weater was good, and participants included sevearal arrivals by air. The group was just fine to fit comfortably in the Nissen huts for the guided tour by Ben Brown. Ben’s scope and depth of knowledge, as well as great sense of humour were appreciated by all.
Apart from a varied and brilliantly organised (considering space limitation) exhibits within several interlinked Nissen hats, SAM is also proudly displays aircraft and cockpits outside. Amongst those, there is Handley Page Jetstream ‘Jenny’ G-RAVL (with a tenuous connection to Beagle Aircraft in that John Larroucau had engineering input in its design) and Hawker Hunter ‘Heidi’ WN904.
