Recently the Club was approached by a company in Argentina with a view to producing the Pup again.
The company has experience with the production of components from an array of aircraft manufacturers and suppliers. It would seem that they want to expand into the production of a complete light aircraft.
They have pointed out that they have access to the necessary expertise and low labour rates. The company is looking to obtain full engineering drawings or, as this seems unlikely, reverse engineering from an existing aircraft (probably a non airworthy example).
So far the search for drawings has been unsuccessful so they are now looking for an airframe so as to try and reverse engineer the project. We will watch future developments with interest.
