Our approach to event planning is ever evolving. However, a few recurring meetings have settled down, and we will continue to schedule them, meaning that the list below should give you an idea of our ‘fixed’ events and meetings that are likely to occur every year.
A number of other events are added throughout the year and do not appear here. Amongst them will be joint events with Auster and VPAC clubs (we are also opening most of our events to both of these clubs). Another addition to our schedule will emanate from the renewed co-operation with Kemble-based Skyhawk “gang”. Concentrating mainly on Bulldog, Chipmunk (and lately Pup) formation flying and training, Skyhawks anticipate getting involved in organising other events, not necessarily connected to our aircraft. As long as the event theme is deemed of interest to the members, it’s game. Whilst operating independently from the Club, a close collaboration of Skyhawks and the Club is being envisaged.

HotDogs & Dogs - third Saturday in May
Our annual meeting with Aerobility to grab a hot dog with friends, but – more seriously – get inspired, raise funds and promote Aerobility’s quest in making aviation available to all. Cost (after all we will be raising funds!) and the details of the day will be published closer to the day.
BPBC AGM, late May or early June
Our AGM, historically taking place at Sywell. The detailed meeting timings, guest speaker and any evening meal arrangements will be confirmed to members via email and Newsletter closer to the date.
Beagles meet Austers, first weekend of June
With the summer in full swing, we are joining forces with the members of the Auster Club, for a day of sharing thoughts and comparing notes on the enthusiasm we all have for our airplanes…
Afternoon Tea with the Originals, third Thursday in June
This is our yearly opportunity to visit and meet our Originals, at the place where their memories and our aircraft were created! When asked, overwhelmingly, the Originals preferred an afternoon event, mid-week. With the Hummingbird restaurant thriving, our now well established meeting place has been booked again! Details of the day will be published closer to the day, but we can announce now that the cost will be partially met by the Club.

Beagle Annual Bash, second Saturday in August
A few years ago, on the Club’s 40th anniversary, we returned to our ‘base’ – Buttermilk Hall Farm – where we were so generously hosted by Kevin and Vicky Amies. We returned there again in 2025, and seemingly thus reviving and establishing our yearly Club meeting there for a while…
Club will continue to partially sponsor the event, but there will be a small charge, to meet the cost of the food and infrastructure.
Apart from the AGM, this remains the only event open exclusively to Club members (and any explicitly invited guests).
LAA Rally, Friday - Sunday, last weekend in August
Following the success of our participation in the LAA Rally in 2024 and 2025, we have decided to continue with taking part in future rallies.
